Phone Battery – We have all come to a point with our phones where we seem to be charging it every hour. There are a few things that can be done to get the most life out of your phone battery. This includes not charging your phone overnight, avoiding extreme temperatures, and not letting your cell phone battery drop to 0. If you find yourself in a situation where you’re not able to charge your phone, some tips to help preserve your battery include turning down your screen’s brightness, turn on Battery Saver Mode, turn off location services and push notifications, close unused apps and avoid apps that use a lot of energy, like Google, Facebook, Gmail, and YouTube.
Car Battery – Extreme temperatures are harsh on your car battery, and once that battery dies, it can render your car useless and be expensive to fix. Following a few of these tips can help save you time and money. To allow your car’s battery to fully charge properly, it’s best to avoid short driving trips in extremely cold temperatures, and drive your vehicle once a week for about 30-minutes at highway speeds. It’s also a good idea to remove the battery if you’re planning on storing a vehicle. Just in case your battery does decide to die at the most inconvenient time, it’s best to keep a jump starter in your car.
Failing Batteries – If you’re concerned the battery in your vehicle, device, or even toy or wheelchair is dying, Batteries Plus offers complimentary battery testing. Some signs your car battery may be failing include if the power windows or radio doesn’t work as efficiently as normal, or if the headlights appear to be dim. When the battery of your phone, tablet, laptop or other device is dying, you may notice it draining too quickly, the device randomly crashing, or problems bringing it to a full charge.
