Goods and services from Rio Vista and the Delta are being showcased in a new online auction being hosted by the Rio Vista Chamber of Commerce.
Designed as a fundraiser for the organization, it was designed to include merchandise and gift certificates gathered from local stores, restaurants and businesses. That way, Rio Vista and Delta residents can go online to find unique and useful items for holiday enhancements or gift giving and support a good cause and local businesses at the same time.
Packages include items like a guided fishing trip for 2 from Top Line Fishing Charters, a grill and gift certificate from Ace Hardware, a 2-hour kayak lesson for 2 from Delta Kayak Adventures, brunch for 2 at the Ryde Hotel, and a round of golf for 2 at the Trilogy Golf Course. Other donations include gift certificates from The Point Restaurant, Burgerlicious, Tortilla Flats, Delta Baking Company, Donnelly Floral Designs, and other downtown stores. Diane Shafer of Shafer Realty has provided two $50 gift certificates for Lucy’s Cafe
One of the more unusual items is a Dinner for 4 at your home, created by classically trained chef Garrett Roberts of Bakers by the Dozenz. Gift baskets were created by Pets 4 All, Delta Farmer’s Market and See’s Candies. There is also a Christmas Tree decorated with collectible ornaments.
Gift seekers can choose from jewelry provided by AJK Unique Emporium and artist Amy Schmidt, or a Christmas collectible from Delta Pharmacy. The Beacon has donated gift certificates and a ¼ page full-color ad in the newspaper that the successful bidder can use for a special event or greeting.
The auction, which can be seen at 32auctions.com/12DaysofChristmasRV, went live on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at noon, and will close on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 3 pm. Successful bidders can pay online using credit cards or PayPal, and then pick up their items at the Rio Vista Visitor Center on Dec. 5 or arrange for delivery or shipment.
Items will be featured on the Chamber’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and on the Bass Derby Facebook page.
