May 1
Sometime overnight, a clubhouse in Trilogy was burglarized. Cash was stolen from a cash register inside the clubhouse. No force was used to break in, and there are several strong leads being followed up.
A family dispute led a son to steal his fathers motor scooter from their garage. The father is dependent on this scooter for mobility. The son later admitted to his father that he took the scooter and would return it, but never did. Deputies were able to locate the son and placed him under arrest for the theft.
A vehicle was reported as stolen from 6th Street. Deputies took the report and searched for the vehicle. About an hour later, Deputies located the vehicle parked on Amador Circle. The vehicle was being fixed by a personal mechanic. Deputies learned that the owner had given permission for that mechanic to take and fix the vehicle. There was no intent to steal and it was determined to be a miscommunication.
A Deputy saw a car with a taillight out and conducted a vehicle enforcement stop on Highway 12 near Virginia Drive. The driver appeared to under the influence of marijuana based upon his behavior. After interviewing and a subsequent search of the car, other drugs were located as well. The driver was arrested for driving with an open marijuana container, possessing marijuana for sale, possessing cocaine for sale, driving under the influence and child endangerment (due to having two young children in the backseat).
May 2
Deputies responded to the area of River Road for a family dispute. Based upon the investigation, this was a domestic violence incident. Based upon statements and injuries, the husband was placed under arrest.
May 4
Deputies received a report that someone stayed on their boat overnight and their vehicle had been broken into while they were on the boat. The items taken were very specific and would be easily identifiable. There are several leads on this case and it is still under active investigation.
May 7
A Deputy saw a vehicle with a lighting violation and pulled it over. While speaking to the driver, the Deputy saw what he believed to be cocaine in the car. He later searched the car and confirmed that the substance was cocaine. The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of cocaine.
A vehicle was driving on North Front Street without a license plate attached. Our Deputy pulled the car over and learned the driver had a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a citation for driving and the vehicle was left where it was since it was legally parked.
A vehicle ran the red light at Highway 12 and Hillside Terrace. A Deputy conducted a vehicle stop and immediately detected that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was issued a citation and a sober driver was allowed to take that person and vehicle home.
