Rio Vista CARE is hosting their Spring Gala on May 20, 2023 to recognize Mental Health Awareness month. The gala will include a 4-course dining experience, featuring a silent/live and dessert auction. CARE is a non-profit organization that provides adult and school-based mental health counseling, crisis intervention and family resources to our community. “The need for mental health services has been increasing year over year, with the past few being particularly challenging;” says Executive Director Cindy Bradford, “Our Rio Vista CARE Spring Gala will provide necessary funds to promote and expand our mental health and family resource services.”
Rio Vista CARE is looking forward to spotlighting their efforts with community leaders and members. “Lack of awareness regarding mental health issues is a major factor in our homeless problem. Supporting Rio Vista CARE and raising awareness of mental wellness will help improve our community’s well-being and provide access to those who need support,” says Mayor Ron Kott.
