Rio Vista CARE Fundraiser for Mental Health Awareness Month

Rio Vista CARE is hosting their annual fundraiser on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. “Cowboy Up for Rio Vista CARE” will include dinner provided by Sam’s Catering of Rio Vista, a social hour with music by Gene Resler and a silent/live and dessert auction. Care is a non-profit organization that provides adult and school-based mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and family resources to our community and the surrounding Delta. “The funding we receive from this fundraiser directly supports our much needed services for families, such as parent education, services coordination, and assistance with basic needs. It helps us provide crisis intervention, drug/alcohol counseling, anger management, grief/loss/depression/anxiety therapy for our youth,” says Executive Director Cindy Bradford. “We believe that the stronger the individual, the stronger the family, and the stronger the community.”

Rio Vista CARE is looking forward to spotlighting their efforts with community leaders and members. “This is a noble cause and as a community, we can make a difference and ensure that everyone affected by mental health challenges will have access to support and therapy,” says Mayor Ron Kott.
