The Rio Vista Boosters Club and The Rio Vista Lions Club are reporting that due to crisis in shipping, Safe and Sane Fireworks are expected to be in short supply for the fourth of July celebration this year.
Booster Club President Jay Forbes reports that last year, with a normal inventory on hand, sales were unprecedented, and the booth was completely sold out at 1:00 PM on the third! With possible shortages we could see a similar outcome this year.
The booth will open for sales at noon on June 28th, in the Lira’s parking lot and Forbes is suggesting that folks wanting to celebrate with Safe and Sane Fireworks should arrive early.
The funds raised from annual fireworks sales are primarily retuned to the community, supporting high school sports, youth activities and scholarships, as well as needs within the elementary and middle schools. The Clubs thank you for your support.
Have a happy, safe celebration.
