April 8
- Rio Vista Police Department conducted an undercover tobacco purchase operation. During the operation, an underage decoy attempted to purchase tobacco products from eight different businesses in town. NONE of the businesses sold tobacco products to the decoy indicating 100% compliance.
- Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Drouin Drive regarding a white female soliciting people for help to steal items from a local gas station. Officers arrived and were familiar with the responsible person. A records check revealed the subject had an outstanding arrest warrant. Officers took the subject into custody and booked her into the Solano County Jail.
- Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Hamilton Avenue for a vandalism report. Officers arrived and contacted the owner of an apartment complex who discovered one of the windows on an apartment had been broken from the outside. The investigation revealed a BBQ lid had been used to break one of the windows. Officers authored a crime report, but there were no leads or suspects.
April 9
- Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Montezuma Street for a burglary alarm. Officer arrived, checked the building, and found everything to be secure.
- Officers were dispatched to the area of Gardiner Way and Flores Way for subjects arguing over alleged stolen toilet paper. Officers arrived and determined there was no crime and the involved parties were intoxicated. The involved parties separated and officers left the scene.
April 10
- Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Deerfield Way to conduct a welfare check on an elderly male walking around the street. The male subject was contacted and did not need assistance.
- Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Palisades Drive for a verbal argument. The reporting person said her adult son came into her house and was refusing to leave. Before officers could arrive, the reporting person told dispatch that she was leaving the house and she did not want officers to respond.
- Officers were dispatched to a possible drunk driver in the 300 block of Highway 12. Officers located the vehicle, contacted the driver, and determined he was not under the influence.
April 11
- Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Turnberry Terrace to check on a subject who called 911. Officers contacted the caller and determined the 911 call was accidental.
- Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Front Street for an alarm at a business. Officers checked the business and everything was secure.
April 12
- Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Tahoe Drive for a traffic collision. Officers arrived and confirmed there were no injuries. A traffic collision report was authored.
- Officers received a complaint about a subject going door to door attempting to sell something. Officers located the subject in the area of South Seventh Street and Morgan Lane and educated him on the city ordinance regarding no soliciting.
April 13
- Officers were dispatched to an address in the 100 block of Edgewater Drive regarding an ex-girlfriend possibly stealing the ex-boyfriend’s vehicle. Officers contacted the involved parties and determined the issue was civil.
- Officers were dispatched to Val de Flores park for a suspicious subject. The reporting party said they believed the subject to be transient and living in his vehicle. Officers contacted the subject and determined there was no criminal activity taking place.
April 14
- Officers were dispatched to the area of Airport Road and Church Road for loose sheep. Officers checked the area and found the small electric fence to be intact and there were no loose sheep.
- Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Highway 12. Officers identified the driver and discovered they had an outstanding felony warrant for vehicle theft and were on . Officers arrested the subject and subsequently located illegal narcotics. The subject was booked into the Solano County Jail for the warrant and received a citation for the narcotics.
