The 10th Annual Hog August Bites is a month away, on
Saturday, August 24th. The music schedule is set for both… that’s right two stages!
Appearing at the Main Stage located at the foot of Main at 10am will be Jim and Jan Bartz of Bird’s Landing and their Limberjack dolls who will entertain the crowd with original folk music. Listen carefully, their topics are diverse and fun. As Jim said, “We give wheat a voice!”
Following the Bartz will be the Funky Gators playing Zydeco at 11am, listen and dance to the tunes of New Orleans right here in Rio Vista. A returning country musician is Buck Ford who will start his performance at 2pm. The Don Gato Band brings the Latin sound, and you will be up on your feet ready to salsa, merengue, samba and more at 4:30pm. Starting at 7:30pm will be Matt Aplin and the Midnight Band with that smooth R & B to close out the Main Street Stage.
The second stage will also wow you with their musical prowess at 2nd and Main Streets. Starting the day off will be the popular Notes of Choice featuring Eddie Davis with Afro-Cuban rhythms at 10am. The River Ratz, a local favorite, will be on stage at 1pm featuring their 70’s and 80’s classic rock. Solid Gold takes the stage at 4pm ready to play music from the 50’s through the 90’s until 7pm.
Which performance are you most looking forward to?
