The City of Suisun City in conjunction with Chabad Jewish Center of Solano County will host the First Annual Blessing of the Menorah in recognition of the Jewish faith-based community. This event will be the first of its kind for the Suisun City Community and will the ceremonial beginning to celebrate Chanukah.
Mayor Lori Wilson stated, “The foundation of our community is fortified by its diversity. I am excited we have the opportunity to celebrate Chanukah for the first time with our Jewish community members. I am thankful for the way their faith strengthens our community.”
The event will be held behind City Hall located at 701 Civic Center Blvd. in Suisun City. Festivities will begin at 5:00pm on Thursday, December 2 with hot latkes, donuts, and Chanukah cookies being served.
